An early Saturday morning shooting in Girard, Ga. killed one person and injured four others.

About 60 people were at an unlicensed bar/shot house on Claxton Road when “shooting broke out,” according to a police report from the Burke County Sheriff’s Office.

Dereck Hilton, 34, was transported to Burke Health, where he died. Credick Hilton, 43, Calleia Williams, 31, Terrance Calles, 30, and Arcedis Maine, 21, were all transported to area hospitals for treatment. There is no word on their conditions.

Two suspects have been named. Officials are looking for Jawuandre Kelly, 22, and Jordan Perkins, 20, for murder and four counts of aggravated assault.

Investigators found multiple shell casings belonging to at least three different caliber weapons, the police report said.

This isn’t the first time the police have been called to the location.

“BCSO has responded to multiple disturbances at this location caused by the unlicensed bar,” the report said.

Owner Kenneth Brigham was charged with “maintaining a disorderly house.”

The investigation is ongoing, according to Capt. Jimmy Wylds with the Burke County Sheriff’s Office.

“At this time, we are still investigating the incident and currently have no motive for the shootings,” Wylds wrote in an email.

Girard is about 40 miles south of Augusta.
