Crafts, a book signing, movies and music are all part of activities at the Morris Museum of Art Thursday through Sunday.

Thursday is “Create With Me: Winter Winsome Gnomes,” a craft project for “kids, toddler to tween,” according to the Morris Museum of Art website.

The craft will be from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 2. The event is free for museum members; $5 for participating non-members. Advanced registration is required. Call (706) 724-7501.

The gnome event is followed by a “festive fete” honoring artist Jonathan Green and the launch of his latest book, “Gullah Spirit: The Art of Jonathan Green” from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Judy Garland classic “Meet Me In St. Louis” is part of Films on Friday at noon Dec. 3.

The free showing of the film from which “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” comes is about a year in the life of the Smith family in St. Louis leading up to the St. Louis World’s Fair of 1904.

Films on Friday is free.

The weekend caps off with “A Very Merry Morris!” from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Admission is free on Sundays at the Morris Museum of Art. On the first Sunday of each month, the museum holds special children’s programming which includes an arts and craft activity.

The Halloween program drew 300 people, according to Nicole McLeod, the museum’s marketing and public relations manager. She’s hoping for large attendance at this one as well.

Special activities include making pop-up cards, 3D-printed holiday sculptures and a mini-painting ornament.

A glass harp performer will play music.

Also, shop for holiday gift items at the museum’s store with free giftwrapping.
