Morris Museum will host family events

On Thursday, Feb. 2, Morris Museum will host an afternoon of Valentine-themed family crafting by encouraging participants to create a robot at 4 p.m.

For toddlers to tweens, Create with Me is a monthly workshop for families to encourage art-based crafts and activities by works displayed in the museum.

Advanced registration is required and is free for museum members and $5 for nonmembers.

On Friday, Feb. 3, the museum will begin “Films on Friday” with the showing of 1975’s “Nashville at Noon.”

The comedy-drama film follows 24 main characters through multiple storylines over the span of five days in the home of Nashville.

The movie’s memorable cast includes: David Arkin, Ned Beatty, Shelley Duvall, Jeff Goldblum, Lily Tomlin and several others.

The museum will show a film once a month throughout the year and will be free of charge.

In Augusta’s historic downtown, Morris Museum is located at 1 Tenth St. on the second floor.

The facility also allows free admission every Sundayand frequently changes exhibits throughout the year.
