A motorcyclist was killed Monday after being struck by a Richmond County school bus.
The Richmond County Coroner’s Office, Richmond County School District and Richmond County Sheriff’s Office all provided similar accounts of Monday’s incident.
A male, whose identify has not been released, was following a Richmond County school bus on Old McDuffie Road when he attempted to pass the school bus in a no-passing zone as it was turning left onto Kenny Road.
The bus struck the motorcyclist who was pronounced dead at 5:40 p.m.
