A 45-year-old Augusta man was killed Monday after attempting to pass a turning school bus on Old McDuffie Road.
Melvin R. Morris, 45, of the 2200 block of Nellie Drive, was riding a dirt bike when he tried to pass a school bus as it turned onto Kenny Road.
Morris was pronounced dead at 5:40 p.m., according to an email from Coroner Mark Bowen.
