Shootings Saturday in Wrens and in south Augusta are believed to be linked, according to law enforcement officials.

The Wrens Police Department released a statement about shooting around 9 a.m. inside the Family Dollar, 505 N. Main Street. The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed it believes the suspect in the Wrens shooting is the same person opened fire in a drive-by shooting at the 5100 block of Deans Bridge Road early Saturday.
