Work at the Augusta Municipal Golf Course, rebranded as “The Patch,” is well underway as the course unveiled a new logo on June 24 for one of its star attractions.
The course, located off of Highland Ave., is an ambitious plan by partners Augusta Technical College, First Tee of Augusta, The Augusta National and the city owned golf club, is set to open in 2026. The partners have a 50 year lease on the property.

Golf great Tiger Woods also made a visit to Augusta and was seen with Chairman Fred Ridley visiting the construction sites of The Loop at The Patch and the future TGR Learning Lab Augusta. Woods is involved in designing The Loop, which is a short nine hole course designed for players of all levels.

Since its first grand opening in 1928, the golf course has, sort of, been lovingly called “The Cabbage Patch.”
The master plan that has been presented to the public for the revamped golfing complex features a re-designed 18-hole layout led by golf course architects, Tom Fazio and Beau Welling, The 9-hole Loop and the Patch and will feature expansive practice areas to serve a variety of golfers of all levels.
Updates on The Patch can be found on the website, Facebook and Instagram pages for the course.
