Dessert Cocktails: Four Delicious Ways to Drink Your Dessert

You’ve just finished yet another decadent holiday meal when your server asks the inevitable question, “Would you like to order dessert?” You simply cannot imagine taking one more bite, but how about a sip? Dessert cocktails are the proverbial “icing on the cake” (without the cake.) Swap your fork for a straw to enjoy these gratifying libations.

????If visions of gingerbread dance in your head, swing by Farmhaus for their boozy Eggnog Milkshake. It’s cold and creamy and smacks of cheer. The heap of whipped cream, gingerbread cookie and sprinkles will give you all the holiday feels. (The shakes at Farmhaus are also available without alcohol.)

????Do you remember what holidays felt like as a kid? Evoke your inner child at Indian Queen with Ben’s Sugar Cookie Cocktail. This creamy and frosty beverage of Baileys, Luxardo and praline liqueur with a Cinnamon Toast Crunch rim is what holiday nostalgia is made of.

????If it’s an Espresso Martini you crave, visit Brian at Abel Brown. His libation is equal parts brandy, chocolate liqueur, espresso liqueur, and espresso with a garnish of three coffee beans. The shot of espresso gives this cocktail some extra zing (and gives you superhuman strength to power through late night holiday festivities).

???? If anyone knows how to make a dessert cocktail, it’s the folks at Vance’s Bakery Bar.  Ask Alexander to make you the Founder’s Martini concocted from Van Gogh Vanilla Vodka, Godiva Dark Chocolate Liqueur, Baileys, chocolate syrup and strawberries, rimmed with chopped pistachios. It is a dessert lover’s boozy dream come true.

Dessert cocktails offer the best of both worlds–decadent dessert in the form of indulgent liquid pleasure. Appease your sweet tooth with some sumptuous spiked sips. And when you visit these local establishments, don’t forget to tell them nakedepicurean sent you. ????
