It may be casual Friday, but make it elevated. Take your drinks to the next level. And by next level, I mean rooftop bars. It’s simple logic:

*️⃣ Drinking is fun.

*️⃣ Drinking outdoors is even more fun.

*️⃣ Drinking outdoors on a rooftop, above the Savannah River and neon marquees, is inarguably the most fun.

So try these rooftop bars for delightful high-in-the-sky cocktails as Augusta blossoms into her warmer months.

Edgar’s Above Broad on the third floor of 699 Broad is a rooftop bar with a lively vibe + a swishy decor. An Airstream doubles as an outdoor bar, a convenient hydration station while playing bocce, cornhole, or garden checkers. This 10,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor eatery + drinkery provides a 270⁰ view of beautiful downtown Augusta. The drink of choice? The Imaginary Friend. It’s a fruity, extra chilly burst of happiness in your mouth. Trust me, you want this in your life.

Take the lobby elevator to the 8th floor of Hyatt House Augusta at 1268 Broad St. to reach its rooftop bar. Perched on the top floor, the indoor/outdoor bar provides amazing skyline views of the city. Equipped with comfy loungers, high top tables and intimate fire pits, this rooftop bar serves well-made cocktails and craft beers with an incredible sunset view. I hope to see you there! You’ll find me sipping on Amanda’s Pretty in Peach, gazing dreamily at the sunset.

Jackson’s Bluff is the rooftop bar at Crowne Plaza North Augusta, overlooking the Savannah River and the  Augusta Green Jackets stadium. Slide into one of the cushy tables and order one of Matt’s refreshing margaritas rimmed with both sugar and salt. With 270⁰ views of the river and Jesse Norman Amphitheater, you cannot go wrong at this friendly bar.

The Partridge Inn was one of Augusta’s first rooftop bars. The hotel itself first opened over 100 yrs ago.  Starting March 22, you’ll once again be able to dine + drink inside the hotel. Details have not yet been determined for 6 South, the rooftop bar. Stay tuned.

Perhaps I am waxing poetic, but standing on one of these bars gives everyone a view of just how beautiful our river region is, a simple reminder of Augusta’s stateliness.

So the next time you are looking to stave off the heat with some tasty, breezy cocktails, head to one of Augusta’s rooftop bars. And don’t forget to tell them nakedepicurean sent you. ????

Bottoms up!
