Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp’s new COVID-19 order, which is in effect May 1, 2021 through May 30, 2021, drops previously mandated restrictions.
The new order continues social distancing practices, mask-wearing and proper sanitizing procedures but now, those are “strongly encouraged” for residents and anyone visiting Georgia.
The new guidelines cover everything from bars to hairdressers to long-term care facilities.

One of the provisions is for “Live Performance Venues,” both outdoors and indoors. That section includes graduations.
The order said all venues must continue to screen workers who exhibit COVID-19 symptoms and not allow them to come to work. They’re also to continue a regular cleaning and sanitizing schedule.
The new order also said childcare facilities are no longer required to prohibit all unnecessary visitors.
