Tiffani Landers is a real estate agent by trade, but now she’s setting out to open a new one-stop shop for everything home décor and seasonal gifts.

Tiffani’s Tinsel Town Gift Shop may sound like a seasonal spot for Christmas, but Landers plans to carry products that change with whatever page the calendar is on.

“We’ll have décor, seasonal gifts, gift baskets and gift-wrapping there,” Landers said. “The second to third week of January is when we plan to open.”

The store, which will be located at 123 Davis Rd., may not be open yet, but Landers has been working on the space for months. Re-doing the store flooring set back the timeline a few months; otherwise, the store likely would’ve been open for Christmas.

The location on Davis Road appealed to Landers for its popularity as a side-corridor in Martinez.

“It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time and just had to put everything together,” Landers said. “I’ve done a lot of research on my own, and my husband and I own Waterboys Sprinklers, so we know business.”

Landers said while the pandemic has been challenging for all, she knows people are still out spending money.

“People are still out there and want to get out to support the community and shop,” Landers said.

She has already begun advertising and hopes to parlay her established business connections into drumming up some word-of-mouth buzz when the store is ready to open its doors.

Her handmade wreaths are sure to be a staple in the store no matter the time of year, and Landers will have the store decked out with Easter decorations as soon as the doors open.

“It’s always an adventure when opening a new business,” Landers said. “Christmas has always been such a wonderful time of year for me and my family, and I hope people will enjoy the season and what we have as much as we do.”
