The Outdoor Adventure Center recently proposed by Destination Augusta is not the only recreational facility coming to the Garden City.

Fun City Adventure Park is a brand of entertainment centers opening across the country, mostly from shuttered properties, like closed department stores and movie theaters.

The two of the nearest franchise locations of the indoor trampoline park are Memphis, Tenn. and Montgomery, Ala., though the fast-spreading brand is “coming soon” to the Garden City, according to its website and signage at its upcoming location at the Village Plaza on Bobby Jones Expressway.

Photos boast a colorful array of amusements from giant arcade machines to adult-size foam and ball pits to “ninja warrior courses” and climbing walls.

Big Air is another indoor park franchise, headquartered in Ladera Ranch, Calif. Its Augusta location, coming to 2807 Wylds Road Ext. this fall, offering kids and grown-ups alike an array of attractions such as trampoline dodgeball, battle beam and, of course, a zip line.

Big Air Augusta will be among seven upcoming franchises in the Southeast, joining 10 locations already in North and South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee, the fun park in Lexington, S.C. being the closest to home.
