Meybohm Commercial announced this month that a new restaurant is coming to Evans Towne Center.

Katy and Shawn Ledford, the owners of the local Mellow Mushroom franchises, are slated to open a casual American cuisine restaurant in the Meybohm building in the Plaza.

The 2,400 square foot restaurant is to boast a “warm tavern environment” with both bar and table booth seating, and regular acoustic performances by artists in the area.

“We look forward to expanding our presence in the Evans Town Center area,” said Shawn Ledford in Meybohm’s recent media release announcing the new project. “There is so much growth around the PAC and park that we wanted to be in the center of it! It’s one of the few places we’ve seen foot traffic in Columbia County, and it felt like the time to do something new.”

The new restaurant is scheduled to open in mid-November.
