New restaurant Buffalo Luke’s slated to open at former Cheeseburger Bobby’s location in Martinez

Date: July 22, 2025

Buffalo Luke’s is a new casual dining eatery slated to open on Bobby Jones Expressway “soon,” as indicated by both the signage at its suite on at the corner of Bobby Jones and Rose Lane, and by its website.

The restaurant is based in Jasper, Ga., with three other locations in Kennesaw and East Ellijay, and another on the way to Dothan, Ala. Its menu offers hardy varieties of chicken tenders, wings and hamburgers boasting 100% Angus beef. It’s also a concept by Robert and Richard Stoll, the Kennesaw restauranteur brothers who launched Cheeseburger Bobby’s, the gourmet burger spot that once occupied that same Martinez site from 2016 until very recently.

In 2007 the Stoll brothers founded Cheeseburger Bobby’s in Hiram, Ga. In 2008, they sold their Stevi B’s Pizza restaurant brand — another former occupant of the Bobby Jones parcel—to Argonne Capital.

By 2014, they opened the first Buffalo Luke’s in Jasper. By 2023, Cheeseburger Bobby locations in Calhoun, Ga. and Decatur, Ala. had been refurbished as Buffalo Luke’s restaurants.

Cheeseburger Bobby’s Martinez has not announced having closed, as of the writing of this article, but it has already been removed from the list of available locations on the chain’s website.
