In front of a throng of onlookers, the owners of Lenox on 10th officially cut the ribbon and began serving guests on July 27.
The tapas and cocktails restaurant, located at 211 Tenth Street, is taking the place of the Bee’s Knees, which closed in November of last year after 20 years in operation.
The concept was developed by Augusta locals Aris Reed and brothers Robert and Roderick Stokes and promises a big city vibe in a cozy atmosphere.
“I’m originally from Los Angeles, and I wanted to bring that kind of vibe to Augusta,” Reed said.

Menu items include cornbread crab cakes, roasted brussel sprouts and bacon burger sliders. The restaurant features a full bar with signature cocktails. The venue will also host acoustic live music as well as popular local DJs and will offer brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
“We are excited to host this ribbon cutting as we unveil a new eating venue to the city of Augusta,” Roderick Stokes said.
District 9 Commissioner Francine Scott, District 1 Commissioner Jordan Johnson and Fire Chief Antonio Burden were on hand for the ribbon cutting.
