A new Zaxby’s is opening in Grovetown this week.

The chicken restaurant chain has announced that its newest location will be at 5002 Steiner Way, along the bustling Horizon South Parkway/Lewiston Road corridor. The franchise will be owned and operated by Tom Scott, Jennifer Cobb, Steven Stembridge, Scott Roberts, and Ashlea Lane of SSR Augusta, LLC which also owns the Augusta Zaxby’s at 4001 Harper Franklin Ave.

“We’re thrilled to grow our presence in the Augusta area with the highly anticipated Grovetown Zaxby’s location,” said Jennifer Cobb, market operations director of SSR Augusta, noting that this would be the franchisee’s first expansion in the area since 2019. “Our commitment extends beyond the restaurant as we forge partnerships with the Girls Scouts of America, local churches, and welfare groups, to demonstrate our active engagement and support of the Grovetown community.”

The 3,000 square-foot restaurant, built in “Zaxby’s classic white farmhouse-style design” with a double drive-thru layout, will be Grovetown’s first Zaxby’s, but the eighth location in the area, with a dining area fit for up to 56 guests.

The Zaxby’s Grovetown debut will be accented with a limited time offer menu item, the Chicken Parm Loaded Fries, until Jan. 7. The franchisees say they’re still hiring for up to 50 available roles.

Zaxby’s Grovetown is scheduled to open on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
