Five teams from the Savannah River Site were recognized by the National Nuclear Security Administration’s Office of Infrastructure for infrastructure projects completed or reaching major milestones in 2024, officials announced.

Savannah River Nuclear Solutions began early construction work in October on a new training facility that will support plutonium pit production at the Savannah River Site, according to a company announcement.

The Savannah River Site’s Tours and Protocol Office will offer 23 public tours in 2026, including 21 driving tours and two walking tours focused on the former town of Ellenton, with space available for about 700 participants.
