The Richmond County Board of Education has approved a series of public hearings to gather community input on its proposed Long-Range Facilities Master Plan.

Hundreds of Columbia County fifth-grade students packed Christenberry Fieldhouse on Thursday morning as Augusta University’s men’s basketball team hosted its annual Columbia County Education Day.

The Richmond County Board of Education held its committee meeting ahead of its regular board meeting Tuesday, reviewing district finances, facilities projects, and school safety initiatives before recognizing students and staff later in the evening.

Five Richmond County School System schools exited the Georgia Department of Education’s Targeted Support and Improvement list this year for the subgroup of students with disabilities.
