On Saturday, April 1, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta will host a Clinic to provide sport and educational opportunities for local youth.

In a mission to provide children with a world-class club experience to youth in most need, members of all genders, and varying levels of abilities and experience, are invited to attend and engage in high energy, interactive sport experiences.

Nike, First Tee-Augusta and EA SPORTS are partnering to create an event that aims “at removing barriers to sport and leveling the playing field for all,” according to a press release from the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Augusta.

With eight clubs spanning across Richmond, Washington and McDuffie County that serve over 4,700 youth after school and in the summertime, the event will promote the organization’s goal of aiding boys and girls’ success to becoming “responsible, caring and productive citizens.”

“The goal of the clinic is to inspire the next generation of youth in Augusta to play and learn, not only the game of golf but also important life skills,” said the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Augusta in a Facebook post.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the event will be held at Augusta’s J. Hebbard Boys & Girls Club – located at 2241 Wheeless Rosd.
