Although he’s not quite finished, the artist known as billy s has done the lion’s share of a mural in North Augusta.

“It’s just a little reminder that love is the answer to everything,” according to the North Augusta artist, who often paints in abstract designs. This mural incorporates a hand symbol for peace in the context of the word “Love.”

The mural was approved by North Augusta’s City Council on Feb. 7.

Mel Lambert, owner of The Beveled Edge, applied for permission to have a mural painted on the side of the building at 526 Georgia Ave. The mural will be on the Spring Grove Avenue side of the building.

After the North Augusta City Council unanimously approved the request, members voted to appoint a review board to handle future applications.
