The North Augusta Department of Public Safety was called to the Riverview Park Activities Center Sunday afternoon because of a fight between two visiting basketball teams.
The fight was between out-of-town teams, one from Columbia, the other from Florence.
“The game was called as a result of the incident and North Augusta Public Safety was notified and reported to the scene,” North Augusta Director of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Director Rick Meyer said.
The NADPS incident report from stated that when officers arrived, most people were leaving. One person provided officers a video that showed ten or more adults fighting in the middle of the court.
No arrests were made, and no injuries were reported.
Meyer said the facility was rented by sponsor Lineage of Champions of Augusta.
