The North Augusta Lady Yellow Jackets are heading back to the state finals after edging past South Florence Tuesday 47-42.
The Lady Yellow Jackets won four state titles in a row from 2016 to 2020, winning the region but losing in the playoffs in 2021.
P’eris Smith, the 4A Region 5 player of the year, and Zuri Goldsberry was named to the South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association 4A All-State team last week.
The state championship game is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday at the University of South Carolina Aiken Convocation Center.
