The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting at the Circle K on Tobacco Road at 12:07 p.m. Sunday.
Deputies found one male victim who had been shot at least one time and died of his injuries. He has been identified as Samuel Jackson, 48, of Augusta.
Donald Gross, 61, of Augusta has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
