Date: January 25, 2025

Local artists and creatives are being called to participate in the inaugural CSRA Hat Trick Challenge medal design contest.

The CSRA Hat Trick Challenge embodies three races, two of which will be in Augusta and Aiken respectively and one which will start in North Augusta and end in Augusta.

These are the Augusta Half Marathon/10k/5k on Feb. 22, the Triple Crown Road Race 5K and 10 mile run in Aiken on March 8 and the Palmetto Peach Half Marathon, 10k and 5k on Nov. 29.

The Palmetto Peach Half Marathon, 10k and 5k is being presented by Fleet Feet of Augusta, and Fleet Feet Manager Seren Jacobs said that people who compete in all three races will receive a bonus prize, the Hat Trick Challenge medal.

“It’s a great incentive to try to get the community to participate in all three different events,” said Jacobs.

Submissions for the medal competition must incorporate an aspect of all three races into the design.

“It’ll be a lot of fun to see the different art designs that incorporate something from each of the three events,” said Jacobs.

The winning artist will receive an entry into all three races.

“This will be a fun way to kind of boost registration for all three events,” Jacobs said.

Artists who want to participate in the medal design competition have until Jan. 31 to email their submissions to seren@fleetfeetaugusta.com. The winner will be announced on Feb. 5.
