Osla Agency celebrates rebranding in ribbon-cutting ceremony

Date: March 30, 2024

Osla Agency, the firm formerly known as Alison South Marketing Group, held its rebranding ceremony Wednesday at its downtown Augusta location.

The agency, which has an office in Aiken, rebranded on March 1. The Augusta Metro Chamber, North Augusta Chamber of Commerce, Columbia County Chamber of Commerce and Aiken Chamber of Commerce gathered with the staff from offices on both sides of the river at the company’s office at the corner of Broad and Seventh Streets.

Founded in 2010 as the South Company, the ad agency was rebranded in 2014 as Alison South. Canadian marketing firm Xiingo.com purchased the company last year.

“We all know that we’re living in a very dynamic world that’s changing faster than you can blink,” said Osla Communications Director, and former Alison South president, Cynthia South. “And so we have to stay ahead of that… and so we have done that, we have evolved in that way over the existence of our agency.”

Trey Blanton, the firm’s chief revenue officer, stressed Osla’s team as one “driven by growth,” and emphasized its renewed image by drawing on the origins of its new moniker, saying it derives from a Norse term meaning “one who comes from a steep place.”

“This term perfectly encapsulates our ethos,” Blanton said. “We thrive on challenge, and we embrace the steep climbs, because we know that they lead to the most breathtaking views. Success is not a straightforward path either but a series of necessary adjustments over time to achieve constant improvement. Marketing is no different.”

As Alison South, the ad agency specialized in branding, digital marketing, strategy, design, and even video production and coordinating promotional events.

David Bash, Oslo’s chief experience officer, concluded presentations at the gathering before the ribbon-cutting by underscoring continuity with the company’s reputation.

“A business in Augusta, a business in Aiken, a mom and pop in North Augusta, will get the same level of quality of service that a multinational agency would get in Miami, New York or L.A.,” said Bash.

Oslo Agency is located at 668 Broad St. in Augusta.
