Paine College is calling for local volunteers this upcoming weekend to help out with a large on-campus beautification project.
From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends and community members are invited to wear Paine College paraphernalia and participate in a day of service.
Needed volunteers for the event include painters, assemblers, team leaders, photographers, food service and a DJ.
Hosted at 1235 15th St. in downtown Augusta, the college is also in need of refreshing donations for involved volunteers, such as breakfast sandwiches, coffee, drinks, water, Gatorade, chips and snacks.
