The Palmetto Peach Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K will bring more than 1,800 runners to North Augusta on Saturday, Nov. 29, as one of the region’s most popular holiday weekend races returns with a sold-out field.

The race begins at SRP Park, located at 187 Railroad Avenue, with staggered start times:

  • Half marathon: 8:00 a.m.
  • 10K: 8:10 a.m.
  • 5K: 8:25 a.m.

Organizers confirmed that all three in-person events are at capacity, with waiting lists closed and online registration ending Nov. 26. Only the virtual race option has limited spots remaining.

A race that goes through two states

The Palmetto Peach offers one of the CSRA’s most distinctive courses. Runners begin in South Carolina at SRP Park, travel along the quiet and wooded North Augusta Greeneway, then pass through downtown North Augusta before crossing the Savannah River into Georgia.

The route continues through Augusta before looping back across the river and finishing with a return to SRP Park.

Participants will experience a mix of neighborhood streets, riverfront paths, and signature views.

What runners receive

All finishers across the half marathon, 10K, and 5K will receive commemorative medals. This year’s race swag includes a New Balance full-zip hoodie jacket, though organizers note that jacket quantities are sold out for 2025. Runners who selected “no jacket” at registration will receive a $20 voucher toward the 2026 race.

Packet pickup information

Packet pickup will take place at SRP Park on:

  • Friday, Nov. 28: noon – 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 29: 6 a.m. – 7 a.m.

Race organizers strongly encourage runners to pick up their packets Friday due to the high number of participants.

On-course experience

Runners can expect a well-supported course, including six water stops along the half marathon route and a dedicated finish-line refreshment zone. Each station will be stocked with water coolers and cups, with GU and Nuun hydration tablets available at miles 5 and 10 for half marathoners and at mile 3.5 for 10K participants.

Additional race-day features include runner tracking, porta potties, chip timing, and live results.

Awards and age groups

Awards for overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in each age group, will be presented after each event. All awards not collected at the finish line will be available for pickup at Fleet Feet after 1 p.m.

Age group categories begin at 15 & Under and extend through 80 & Above.
