The Thomson Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration took place on Thursday, Dec. 4 at the Thomson Depot. Downtown Thomson was filled with joy as the local schools, Maxwell Elementary, Briarwood Academy, R.L. Norris Elementary School and Thomson High School sang Christmas favorites bringing the community together and marking the official start of the Christmas season.
