The Fightin’ Irish headed into Patriot territory Friday for the first contest between Aquinas and Westside in 13 years and came out ahead.
It was a close match early on with Aquinas up by only six at the half 13-7, but the luck of the Irish prevailed in the second half as the Fighting Irish went on a scoring tear, winning the game by a score of 41-7.
Quarterback Jim Franklin threw for four touchdowns.
Aquinas is now 2-0 on the season while Westside drops to 0-2.
