Photojournalism: Area Christians observe Good Friday

About 300 people made a solemn trek to commemorate Good Friday April 15 as part of the annual Way of the Cross walk.

The event started at 10 a.m. at Burn United Methodist Church on Lumpkin Road.

Along the two-mile route, the group stopped to hear brief messages and sing songs. Other churches on the way include Lutheran Church of the Ascension 2860 Wells Drive, Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3045 Deans Bridge Road and St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2607 Lumpkin Road.
