Photojournalism: Arts in the Heart of Augusta

Augustans turned out in force for the 40th celebration of Art in the Heart of Augusta which made its comeback after a pandemic intermission in 2020 and an abbreviated festival last year.

Artisans from painters to jewelry makers to leather workers are selling their wares at the three-day event that ends Sunday.

Musical performances are held at five stages on Broad Street and in the Augusta Common.

International food offerings from 17 different nations including Jamaica, Sudan, Greece, Italy and Ireland are part of the festival.

Arts in the Heart of Augusta will be from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Badges are $15. Children 10 years old and under are admitted free.
