It was a cold one for area fans who braved the wind and cool temperatures for a doubleheader between the Augusta University Jaguars and the University of South Carolina Aiken Pacers Saturday at the Jags’ home field.

Historically the Jags haven’t fared well against the Pacers on the diamond sporting and have 8-33 lifetime record against their Peach Belt Conference rivals after losing the first game of the two-game set 8-6 and the second game 3-2. The Jags beat the Pacers 12-1 Friday and lost to the Pacers 7-5 on March 30 at a game at SRP Park in North Augusta.

The Jags head to Due West Tuesday at play Erskine. The Pacers will host Lenoir-Rhyne Tuesday.
