Two region opponents went head-to-head Tuesday in hoops action as Butler defeated Westside 74-52 in south Augusta.

The win lifted Butler’s undefeated streak in region play to 8-0 and 11-5 overall.

Westside is in second place in the region with a 6-2 region and 15-2 overall.

The start of the girls’ game was delayed due to a transportation mix-up with the Westside squad. Butler squeaked past Westside 34-31.

Westside will host Laney at 6 p.m. Friday while Butler will travel to Glenn Hills Friday.
