This week, a friend of mine, Jalen Robinson, wanted to take his son, Amir, to the spring Columbia County Fair in Grovetown. I decided to tag along and make some pictures of their experience.
Going to the fair is one of the highlights of many kids’ years, and witnessing a child having that experience from the perspective of an adult was eye-opening.

Much like during the holidays, the parents are a large part of keeping the “magic” alive for the kids. There were tantrums and sore feet, but by the end of the night, my friend’s son left the fairgrounds with a couple new toys and memories that will likely follow him into adulthood.
