Georgia Southern University defeated the University of Georgia 13-5 at SRP Park Tuesday.
The Bulldogs had a five-run first inning, but the Eagles roared back with 13 unanswered runs.
From the third through the fifth inning, the Eagles scored 11 runs including a grand slam by Austin Thompson.
The Bulldogs left 11 runners on base.
Hayden Harris was the winning pitcher with Michael Polk being charged the loss.
Josh McAllister of Georgia was hit by a pitch and suffered a cheekbone fracture.
The Bulldogs will travel to Statesboro Wednesday to meet the Eagles again at 6 p. m.
