Photojournalism: Grovetown Trails Park

The weather change brings with it the beautiful shift in colors, my favorite part of fall. I like walking different trails around town to take in the cooler air and the changing trees, with one of my favorite places being Grovetown Trails Park at Euchee Creek.

It’s a short, paved loop that goes around a small lake. There are boulders situated in openings between the trees where people often sit and watch the water.

Trail

The path doesn’t have any major changes in elevation, making it an easy jog or stroll.

Shortcut

Off the paved trail at certain points are paths that lead to other parts of the track.

Picnic

Picnic tables are all over the park, including the forested areas. The coverage makes the heat bearable during the warmer months.

Benches

Part of the trail turns into a boardwalk going over wetlands. A couple of the turns have benches built into the railing.
