This week, I visited a rehearsal of Augusta University’s upcoming play Is She Mad, Or Does She Joke, written and directed by Associate Professor Melanie O’Meara. The play is centered around Virginia Oldoini, who was the Countess of Castiglione from 1837-1899.
She is known for being the mistress of Emperor Napoleon III, as well as an important figure in the development of the field of portrait photography. The play will be showing at 7:30 p.m. November 11th-13th, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday November 14th. Further details regarding admission can be found through this link.
