Celebrating its seventh annual event, JoeFest kicked off Friday evening to attract cosplayers and showcase comic books and toys at the Augusta Marriott Convention Center.

Starting out as a smaller conference, over the year JoeFest has grown a considerable amount and is now known for displaying thousands of collectibles the entire weekend.

With over 200 participating vendors, the “real American toy convention” boasts an enormous G.I. Joe collection – the largest in the country – in addition to hosting several celebrities.

This year’s line up of guest stars includes: voice actress Morgan Lofting, author and YouTube sensation Pixel Dan, host of Secret Galaxy Dan Larson, producer on “Transformers” Michael Charles Hill, WWE superstar Sgt. Slaughter and more.

Hosted at Two 10th St. in Downtown Augusta, the convention will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tickets for family weekend passes can be purchased for $50, and general admission tickets for individuals are $20 for Saturday and $10 for Sunday.
