North Augusta put on its holiday spirit Tuesday with a Christmas tree lighting and a cookie and cocoa crawl.
About 20 businesses along Georgia and West Avenues opened their doors to participate in the Cookie and Cocoa Crawl portion, according to North Augusta Forward, the event sponsor.
The Christmas tree lighting kicked off the event with Mayor Briton Williams who assisted Ella Hooker, 4, in flipping the symbolic switch in front of Lookaway Hall.
Members of the North Augusta Middle School Band performed Christmas music prior to the lighting.
