Augusta Mayor Hardie Davis Jr. and members of the Augusta Commission visited the Fifth Street Pedestrian Bridge Wednesday to watch as engineers tested the lights.
In a news release, Lena Bonner, clerk of Commission, it was made clear that “no official business will be discussed and/or action(s) will take place” at the event as the elected officials were invited at the request of the engineer to “attend a testing exercise of the bridge lighting system this evening (sunset).”
