Despite piling up a season-high 503 yards of offense, Clemson couldn’t recover after Syracuse jumped out to a 24–7 lead in the first half. The Orange kept control the rest of the way, sealing a 34–21 win at Memorial Stadium.
The loss dropped the Tigers to 1–3 on the season and 0–2 in ACC play, while Syracuse improved to 3–1 with their first conference victory.
