Richmond County authorities say a man was found dead Saturday morning under suspicious circumstances.

Sheriff’s officers responded around 7:40 a.m. Saturday to the 2000 block of Clarkston Drive regarding the death of a white, adult male inside the home.

“The death is being investigated as suspicious, and no further information is available,” sheriff’s Sgt. John Perry said in an email.

Coroner Mark Bowens said his office responded to the home and pronounced the man dead at 8:47 a.m. Saturday. He was identified on Sunday as 47-year-old Ryan Price of Evans.

An autopsy has been scheduled as the investigation continues.
