RCSO respond to shooting incident near T.W. Josey High School

Richmond County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shooting near the intersection of Koger Street and Eagles Way, Tuesday morning at 9:14.

The victim was a described as a juvenile female, shot at least one time, who has since been transported to a hospital for her injuries. Investigation of the incident is in its early stages, said the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office in a release distributed Tuesday afternoon, and no further information is available.

The site where RCSO deputies reported is near T.W. Josey High School, on 15th Street, but a spokesperson for Richmond County Schools note that the shooting did not take place on the school’s campus.
