Richmond County authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding two murder suspects accused of participating in an Oct. 15 fatal shooting at Olmstead Homes.

Lawrence Stephens, 20, and Jamari Williams, 19, are both wanted for murder in the shooting death of 22-year-old Kyan Michael Bowie. The sheriff’s office released wanted posters on Wednesday, weeks after obtaining murder warrants against them.

As The Augusta Press reported last month, the pair are among five suspects accused of shooting Bowie around 9:20 p.m. Oct. 15 at 2126 B Street in Olmstead Homes. The Hephzibah man died shortly after someone in a private vehicle rushed him to Augusta University Medical Center.

Victim Kyan Bowie

At least one defendant told authorities that the victim was not the intended target and was accidentally shot while one of them was firing near Olmstead Homes.

Last month, Jaquez Davis, 21, was jailed on charges of murder and weapon possession in the case. Before that, Evyn O’Conner, 18 of Beech Island, and Diriuss Redd Jr., 17, of Augusta, were arrested on murder charges in Bowie’s death.

Any information concerning these subjects, please contact Inv. Walter McNeil or any Violent Crimes Investigator at the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 821-1020 or (706) 821-1080
