State Representative Rob Clifton (R-Evans) has been appointed to serve on the Georgia House Majority Caucus Whip Team for the 2025-2026 legislative term.

House Majority Caucus Whip James Burchett (R-Waycross) selected Clifton for the role, recognizing his leadership and commitment to advancing the party’s legislative priorities, according to a press release from the Georgia House of Representatives.

“I am honored to serve alongside Majority Whip Burchett on his Whip Team,” said Clifton. “The role of the Majority Whip Team is essential to maintaining unity and ensuring that our party can effectively advocate for the issues that matter most to our constituents.”

As a member of the Whip Team, Clifton will help track legislation, guide discussions on key bills, and ensure that fellow House members stay informed on policy decisions. The team plays a crucial role in building consensus within the Majority Caucus as legislation moves through committees and floor debates.

“I look forward to working closely with my colleagues to keep our party united, foster productive dialogue, and ensure that our legislative priorities move forward in the Georgia House,” said Clifton.

Rep. Clifton represents Georgia’s 131st House District, which includes part of Columbia County. First elected in 2024, he currently serves on the Economic Development and Tourism, Interstate Cooperation, and Transportation committees.
