The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for 48-year-old Walter Anthony Tarver in connection with an aggravated assault that occurred early Sunday on the 200 block of Warren Road in Augusta.

Tarver is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 147 pounds. Authorities believe he may be staying at hotels along Washington Road and Wrightsboro Road in Augusta.
