The Richmond County Board of Education committee meeting will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 13.

The Building Committee will receive an update on the Phase VI Building Program projects for multiple schools, including Langford, Davidson Fine Arts – Black Box Theatre, Academy of Richmond County and more, according to the agenda document

The Finance Committee will discuss a bid from Audio Enhancement in the amount of $258,702.52 for classroom audio enhancement for Lamar-Milledge, according to the agenda document

The Human Resources Committee will discuss the revised policy regarding paid parental leave to sit for 30 days to allow for public comment.

The Instruction Committee will receive an update on ELA standards and the textbook adoption process. The Student Services Committee will receive an update on wrap around services. This items on these two committees are information only. 

Upcoming dates for other meetings include a called meeting on Aug. 20 at noon for the 1st public millage rate hearing, the regular meeting on Aug. 20 at 6 p.m., the 2nd millage rate hearing on Aug. 20 following the regular meeting at 6 p.m., the 3rd millage rate hearing on Aug. 27 at 5:30 p.m. and a called meeting on Aug. 27 at 6 p.m. to adopt the millage rate.
