A shooting in the early morning hours of Sunday has left one person dead.
According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 4200 block of Windsor Spring Road in regard to shots fired and one person down. When deputies arrived, they located one male who has been shot at least once. He was taken to Wellstar/MCG, where he succumbed to his injuries.
According to Coroner Mark Bowen, 41-year-old Carl Dednam Jr. was shot at least once at 4202 Windsor Spring Road in Hephzibah (Windsor Court). He was transported by EMS to Wellstar / MCG, where he was pronounced dead at 1:59 a.m. Sunday.
An autopsy has been schedule. The incident is under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
