The 256 crimes tracked by The Augusta Press that were reported to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office during the week of Oct. 12-18 included three homicides.

Two men were shot to death in separate incidents on Oct. 15. Kyan Bowie, 22, was shot to death at 2100 B St, and Tymarkus Starkes, 20, was shot to death at 1949 Old Savannah Road. Two days later, 32-year-old Reginald Johnson was shot to death at 3020 Washington Road.

Other violent crimes during the week included two armed robberies, and 77 assaults. Six of those assaults were aggravated assaults and 36 were cases of family violence.

Property crimes included 14 burglaries, 42 cases of property damage, 41 vehicle break-ins, and 56 thefts.
