A suspect is in custody Friday after a shooting near Augusta Mall.
“On Friday, June 3, 2022, at 9:39 a.m., deputies responded to the 3400 block of Wrightsboro Road in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located a victim who had been shot,” according to an email from Richmond County Sheriff Sgt. William McCarty.
The investigation is still in its early stages.
